I can't say i really wanna get the bfgs again, as they wore absolutely terribly for. Now with that being said i use to read lots of articles and reviews online of people with nittos only getting 35k out of the tire. My initial thought was to go with the km3s, but they are on a longish backorder.
The 37 measures 36.5 and weighs considerable less than the nitto. On the highway, you don’t need to horrify anymore because this terra grappler will make you satisfied with its service. It is also a less vocal tire.

The rg's are a fantastic tire, and even in a 305 18 size, they are still quieter and balance better than the smaller 285 18 bfg's i had on this 2014 lc200 before i put on the rg's. I really like the look of the bfg km2, toyo open country m/t, and the nitto mud grappler, but i can't decide on which one. All my toyos have been easy to balance and handle great. When it rains it pours.

Discussion starter · #1 · jul 12, 2013 (edited) i know there is tons of info on the bfgs and goodyears, but i can't find much about the nitto hd grapplers (aka toyo m55) on my model of truck. The one difference between the nitto and toyo is that nitto uses a softer tread compound.
The load index for the tire is 115 and load carrying capabilities are 2679 pounds. The aspect ratio of the tire is 60. The price difference differs from supplier to supplier.
In our opinion, nitto terra grappler g2 is much more reliable than bfg ko2. I've run bfg km2s on my last two wranglers, but they've been discontinued. Nittos were loud, bfg's always felt loose and the toyo's are quiet and surefooted.

I had toyo oc at2 on my 100 series, and while not an apple to apple comparison to the at3, i continue to think that the ridge grappler is the best set of tires i. The toyo is ugly, the tread pattern is milder than the outgoing version, the sidewalls are too mild, they got rid of the xtreme versions, and toyo/nitto tires are notorious for being awful in wet weather. I have a 2021 jlurd on order.
Moreover, it has a significantly better tread life than bf goodrich ko2. I currently have 265/75 r16 bfg a/t ko's on my truck, but they're toast. Here from the price perspective, bfg ko2 is the clear winner.
